Youth Minister - Chris Bass

It has been my honor to serve as Minister of Youth since October of 2006.  Part of the joy of serving in Clinton is that I met Ashley; we were married September 27th, 2008. We enjoy spending time together and working around the house. We have an almost nightly ritual of going to Wal-mart. We also enjoy our Friday lunch date, to El Sambre. My personal interests include: anything with tools, hunting, fishing, guitar, and playing ultimate Frisbee and dodge ball with the students.

I am originally from a small town just outside of the St. Louis area, Warrenton, and will always and forever be a Cardinals fan. It was in this small town that I came to a saving faith in Jesus at the age of eight. Eight years later I believed that God wanted me to serve him full time; the church I grew up in agreed so, I was licensed to the Gospel Ministry in 2000 almost 8 years to the day from when I first gave my life to the Lord. From that time on the Lord has opened many opportunities for me to serve him in various capacities: camp pastor, pulpit supply and part-time youth ministry.

I received my B.A. in Christian Ministry from Southwest Baptist University in 2006, and am currently working toward my Masters of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
